What makes it read as watercolor
Granulation where pigment settles into the tooth of the paper, hard edges where a wash dried, and white paper left bare for the highlights rather than paint added on top. Those three things are what separate a watercolour from a photograph with a filter over it.
What it suits
Daylight photographs, outdoor settings, light-coloured coats and hair, children, weddings and houses. It is the most requested style we offer and the most forgiving of an ordinary phone photograph.
What it is less good at
Very dark subjects and night-time photographs. A black dog or an evening portrait has more presence in charcoal, where tone rather than colour does the work.

Your portrait is generated with AI image tools under human artistic direction, then checked by a person for likeness before it reaches you. It is not drawn by hand by a human artist, and we do not describe it as handmade.
When do I pay?
Nothing is charged when you place your request. We make your portrait, email you a proof, and only ask for payment once you have seen it and approved it.
What do I receive?
A high-resolution digital file by email, ready to print or frame. Nothing physical is shipped, so there is no waiting on post and no delivery address to give.
What happens to my photograph?
It is stored privately while your portrait is made, and deleted once your artwork has been delivered. It is never published, shared, sold, or used to train any model.
