Who is responsible

Kept Portraits is the data controller for the information described here. Write to hello@keptportraits.com about anything on this page.

Your photograph

Your photograph is stored privately while your commission is worked on, and is deleted once your artwork has been delivered. It is never published, shared, sold, or used to train any model.

If you abandon an order part-way, the photograph is deleted automatically after 30 days.

What else we hold

Your email address, your name if you give it, and your order details — so that we can make your portrait, deliver it, and answer questions afterwards. Your finished artwork is kept for 90 days so that you can re-download it.

Payment data

Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Your card details are entered on Paddle’s systems and are never seen or stored by us. Paddle passes us only the fact that an order was paid and the email address associated with it.

Processing your photograph

Making your artwork involves sending your photograph to an AI image provider (OpenAI) for processing. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection and used solely to produce your commission.

Legal basis

We process your photograph and email address in order to perform the contract you entered into when you placed your order. We keep basic order records afterwards because we are legally required to.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@keptportraits.com and we will action it within 30 days.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your order reference locally so that returning to the site does not strand you; nothing in that is sent anywhere.
