Who you are buying from

Kept Portraits sells personalised digital artwork made from a photograph you supply. Contact us at hello@keptportraits.com.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record for your purchase. Your order is therefore also subject to Paddle’s terms of sale, and your receipt and card statement will show Paddle.

What you are commissioning

A digital artwork rendered from your photograph, delivered as a high-resolution file by email. Nothing physical is shipped to you.

How it is made

Artwork is generated using AI image tools under human artistic direction, and is reviewed by a person before it is delivered. It is not drawn by hand by a human artist, and we do not describe it as handmade. We say so plainly because you are entitled to know what you are buying.

Your photograph

You confirm that you own the photograph you upload, or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. We will not accept images of people who have not consented, or any unlawful material.

We may decline an order and cancel it without charge if a photograph breaches this.

What you may do with your artwork

The finished piece is yours for personal use — print it, frame it, give it as a gift. Commercial resale of the artwork itself is not included in the price.

Proofs and revisions

You see a proof before any payment is taken. Your commission includes revisions so we can get the likeness right. Beyond those, write to us and we will look at it personally.

Delivery

Proofs are normally sent within 48 hours. Once you approve a proof and pay, the final high-resolution file is emailed to you. These are targets rather than guarantees; if something takes longer we will tell you why.

Liability

Our liability for any claim relating to a commission is limited to the amount you paid for that commission. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
